Starting from July 2012, we are going on a one-year period of
voluntary service to the island nation of Vanuatu in the Pacific Ocean.
We will be stationed in the northern part of the country, in the island
of Santo, in the town of Luganville, serving at the Rowhani Bahá'í School.
Partow & Anne, both teachers by profession and on a sabbatical
leave for one year, will be serving in that capacity, while Oscar will
be pursuing his studies of the 9th grade at the school.
This
blog-spot is for stories of our stay in Vanuatu. Stories will appear in
four categories: (1) General, (1) Bahá'í Activities, (2) Culture &
People, (3) Terrestrial Nature, (4) Celestial Nature. The two last ones
are, for the most part, photo-blogs and, in case you wonder about that
last category, it is because Partow is an amateur astronomer and will be
continuing his hobby of astro-photography during our stay in the
Pacific region.
